Welcome Almitra as the new Pineywoods Group Leader

Postby Administrator on Thu Oct 09, 2008 1:23 pm

Almitra is your new Pineywoods group leader. She will be responsible for coordinating camp outs and get togethers within her region to bring those with common interests together. Anyone is invited to these events even if you are in a camping club, you are more then welcome. You also do not have to live within this region to attend so if you are looking to get out and camp with some new people or a new part of Texas you are more the welcome to attend. You also do not have to attend the events to join the group and join in on the discussions. So if you live in this region or camp in it often feel free to join this group. No registration is necessary.

Texas Camping Forum and TCF Regions is not a camping club. It is just a organized way to bring those together who share common interests who want to meet new and exciting people or share their knowledge and experiences of the great outdoors. It is a great way to make new life long friendships.

We are still looking for group leaders for the other regions as well as one more for this region to help out Almitra. So if you are interested please PM a moderator for more information.

I'm excited to be here! I love camping and do it all the time (seems like) since I re-discovered it about a year ago. So, how about it, folks....any neighbors out there in my neck o' the woods?
I am a mom of 3, but only my 9 YO son camps with me cuz the other two are BIG and grown and living on opposite ends of the country nowadays. We are tent campers ourselves, but we love getting to know new people and welcome campers of all types, whether you're a tenter, Rv enthusiast, 5th wheeler, or anything in between. Let's unite and have a campout. :D

Congratulation on the new appointment! Looks like we need a few more here in the Piney woods area. Have you ever been to Cooper Lake? I think we are going to take a ride to Cooper on Sunday to see how the park sites are laid out, and to enjoy some fresh air time...

That park is on my list as well. Get some pictures when you go. Not many of them on the web. I would really like to see what the sites are like.
